Welcome!!!

Hello!

Here's some things to help to get you started around here...

1. Post some work! Go to your page and add a blog with a story/poem/rant/anything. It'll show up on the "Activity" board above and off to the right side of this page for everyone to see.

2. Read other people's work! Check that activity board and the blog posts to the right of the page, or click on someone's profile picture to see what they've been writing. If you've got a response or some criticism, leave them a comment! We're all here to get feedback, so don't be scared to say something.

3. Check the prompts! If you're running low on ideas or just want to try something new, look in the forum to find the latest prompt. There's a new one each Sunday, but feel free to spend some time on any of the previous prompts, or to share an idea for a new one by sending a message to me, Melissa =)

4. Post in the forum! Got a question? Want to start a discussion on something? Post in the forum (located directly under this box)!

5. Watch Shamu? Yup, even Shamu is here. Scroll down a little bit and see if he's out and about!

Well, hopefully that will get you on your way! If you have any questions or need some help, just find me, Melissa, and ask away =)

-Melissa K.

I’m not sure why I keep coming to this bar. The place is dark and stuffy and the hallways reek of bleach, piss and stale smoke. Hundreds of pictures are littered on the wood paneled walls: pictures of smiling people, cheering people, happy people. Pictures suggesting that at one time this place was more than just a lobby for the mise… Continue

God Speed

10.In the cool morning hour, one man’s journey is soon to commence.
9. Suited up, he lays in his ship, eyes closed and face calm.
8. Atop a grassy knoll his wife sits amongst a crowd of spectators, their son in her lap, holding a small American flag.
7. They all anticipate the takeoff, some joining hands, others embracing one another.
6. From dark clouds drifting high above, the sun breaches through, burning a path for his ship to the cosmos.
5. The boy stares in wonder at his mother’s face, a g… Continue

The Nocturne of Vladimir Jazz

The eighth, and final dialogue of the discontinued Scratch: Volume One.

Scratch: Volume One

She's Always A Woman

THE DEVIL: "Now the humor is over. It's many days later, so let's lose the comedy and get to the point, because by the time you continue this, you won't be in the mood for laughter."

MAN: "That's reassuring. What the hell happens that makes me such a sourpuss?"

THE DEVIL: "A drawing forces you to look for a good photo of her from a profile view, and the pose gets you a little retrospective."

MAN: "As specific as that was, it wouldn't be the first tim… Continue
